WEEKEND PREVIEW: Little league Championships and Regional racing resumes

A busy weekend of Cycle Speedway action starts tomorrow (Saturday) with the Little League Championships which are being staged at Horspath. Racing will start at 11am with 1 heat of U10 girls, 3 heats of U8 open, 3 heats of U8 girls, followed by U8 open. U10 boys will be starting approximately 1pm. Last final of the day will be the team event which features East Newport, Hethersett, Kesgrave, Horspath & Poole. The draws are below:

Also on Saturday Round 5 of the EuroVets takes place at Birmingham

Moving on to Sunday and there is League racing in all 4 regions. In the North & Scotland League Astley & Tyldesley welcome Sheffield to Gin Pit for matches in Divisions 1,2 and 3. The Division 3 match is first up at 1pm, followed at 2pm by the Division 1 match and the Division 2 match is at 3.45pm. Meanwhile heckmondwike make the trip to Hull for matches in Divisions 2 and 3. The Division 3 match starts at 1pm with the Division 2 match following at 2pm.

Moving on to the South East there are 2 matches in Division 2. Norwich take on Great Blakenham whilst Hellingly make the trip to Whitton Sports Centre to take on Ipswich. There will also be a Youth League match between Ipswich and Hellingly.

There are also 2 matches in the South & South Wales League. Southampton make the trip to The Village to take on Horspath whilst Harbourside Park is the venue for Poole’s match with Newport.

Finally in the Midland League there is a battle of the Monarchs as Birmingham take on Leicester at Perry Hall Playing Fields
