Dya 2 of the British Individual Championships tomorrow will see 3 more champions crowned, in the Junior, Under 16 Girls and Over 30’s Women’s categories, the latter category being contested for the first time. The 2nd set of Open Qualifiers will take place also

Exeter

The British Junior Individual Championship will be the first category to be decided as 18 riders are entered so a pre-qualifier will be needed to find the 16 finalists. Of the 18 riders entered 9 oof them raced in the corresponding event at Norwich in 2024, namely Jude Wilcockson (Coventry), George & Sonny Whale (Southampton), Tom Alexander (East Newport), Corey Burt (Wednesfield), Luca Woodhouse (Great Blakenham), Shaun Kell (Ipswich), Leon Penketh (Southampton) and Oliver Saunders (Poole). Also entered are Joe Gillespie (Southampton), JJ Wildman (Exeter), James Randall (Poole), Mitchell Baker (Ipswich), Noah Lyon (Hull), Finley Myall (Ipswich), Teddy Curtis (Poole), Sam Stansfield (Edinburgh) and Harvey Yard (Newport). The Pre-Qualifying round starts at 11am with the final scheduled to start at 12.15pm,

This will be followed by Open Qualifying Rounds 4 and 5 at 2pm and 3.30pm respectively. The line ups for these are listed below:

Poole

At Poole the Under 16 Girls and Over 30 Women’s British Champions will be crowned. There are 9 entries in the Under 16 Girls and 4 in the Over 30’s Women’s events which is expected to run as 3 races from the Under 16 Girls followed by 1 from the Over 30’s Women and so on. The Under 16 Girls has 4 riders who rode last year’s event at Hethersett, namely Millie Shear (Poole), Maisy Baker (Ipswich), Lola martin (Hethersett) and the defending champion Lily Parr (kesgrave), Also entered are Amberley Gant (Kesgrave), Lacey Ackroyd (Sheffield), Esmae lewis (Newport), Ava Champan (Poole) and Yoanna Gilpin (Coventry) with Ellie George (Newport) as reserve. Jenna & Lucy Whitehead (Leicester), Rachel Lammin (Horspath) and laura Watson (Sheffield) are in the Over 30’s Women’s category. The event starts at 2pm and is followed at 3.30pm by the final Open Qualifying Round for which the line-up is below:
