Day 7 of the World Championships saw the start of the Over 40’s World Individual Championship at Great Blakenham as well as Federation Cup matches at Ipswich. The Over 40’s saw 2 pre-qualifiers to produce the riders for 2 semi-finals. Full results from the semi-finals below:

At Ipswich it was the Federation Cup matches for Juniors between Great Britain and Australia as well as the final Women’s match between Australia and Poland. The Junior match was first and after opening up with a maximum 7-3 Great Britain never looked back on their way to victory by 108 points to 70. For GB Shaun Kell completed a full 16 point maximum from 4 rides whilst Kenzie Bennett and JJ Wildman were also undefeated by an Australian rider in their races, as was Luca Woodhouse in the races he completed having started with 2 exclusions for moving at the tapes. Josh Candy was Australia’s highest scorer with 13 points

The Women’s match between Australia & Poland followed and started with 5 shared heats before the 2 teams traded 6-4’s to leave the scores at 35 points each after 7 heats. Heat 8 was shared then Poland took the lead with a 7-3 in heat 9 and never looked back on their way to victory by 97 points to 82 which clinched Poland the runners=up spot in the Women’s Federation Cup. Great Britain had already clinched the competition by defeating both Poland and Australia. Holly Greenhalgh was Australia’s top scorer with 16 points whilst for Poland Oliwia Wilbrandt scored a full 24 point maximum whilst Karina Gorniaczyk dropped just 1 point in her 4th ride
