Lee Aris has posted the following information on Facebook regarding the Celebration Of Life for Mick Aris:
Mick Aris’s Celebration of Life will take place on Saturday 6th June at 2pm at Wednesfield Aces Cycle Speedway Track, Ashmore Park, WV11 2JW.
We will come together to share memories and celebrate Mick at a place that truly was at the heart of his life — where many lifelong friendships and connections began.
Following the ceremony at Ashmore Park, we will continue to Gilbert’s Bar, Willenhall, WV13 2NY, where there will be photos of Mick, his favourite songs playing, and an opportunity for everyone to share stories, memories, and re-air some of the famous Mick Aris experiences that made so many people smile.
We would like to thank everyone for the kind words, support, and love shown since my dad’s passing. It comes as no surprise to us how loved he was, with his simple approach to life and his way of living it to the fullest. Mick will continue to live on through his family, friends, and the many memories shared by all who knew him.
We would like to invite anyone who wishes to share a fond memory or say a few words in honour of Mick on the day to please get in touch.
There is no dress code as such, but colours, sports tops and race tops are very welcome
Lastly, as per Dad’s wishes, please refrain from buying flowers; instead, a JustGiving page has been set up in his memory. Donations will support Ward C4 at Russell’s Hall Hospital, where dad received treatment and was deeply grateful for the care and support he received, as well as Wednesfield Aces Cycle Speedway Club — Mick’s lifelong passion and a club he proudly treated like a second family for over 60 years.
