WEEKEND PREVIEW: Final BYJL Regional rounds and more regional racing
This weekend’s cycle speedway action kicks off on Saturday with the final regional rounds of the British Youth & Junior League. The North & Scotland round will take place at Edinburgh’s Redbraes Park circuit with the Midlands round taking place at East Park. The South-East round, which doubles up as Round 4 of the South-East Grand Prix, takes place at Hellingly whilst the South & South Wales riders make the trip to Poole
There is another busy day of regional league racing on Sunday which sees matches in the North & Scotland, South & South Wales and South East Leagues. In the North & Scotland League Sheffield have 2 matches, a Division 1 match against Fife starting at 1pm which is followed by a Division 2 match against Heckmondwike at 3pm. Astley & Tyldesley take on Bury in all 3 Divisions with the Division 3 match at 1pm, the Division 1 match at 2pm and the Division 2 match at 3.45pm
There is one match in the South & South Wales league and that sees Horspath take on Exeter. In the South-East League Ipswich make the trip to Great Blakenham for matches in Division 1, Division 2 and the Youth League. The action at the South-East Regional centre gets underway at 1pm. Hellingly make the trip to Norfolk for matches in Division 2 and the Youth League. The Lions are at Norwich for an 11am start before moving on to Hethersett for a 2pm start
The Midland Riders Championships, which were due to be staged at Leicester on Sunday, have been postpones and will now be staged on Sunday October 2nd
