OBITUARIES: Roger Beaman & Shawn Hall
33/18 News has learnt that Roger Beaman and Shawn Hall have both passed away.
Below is a post from Bob Prince on Roger’s passing (post taken from Facebook’s “I was (or still am) a Cycle Speedway rider”)
“So sad to hear of the passing of Roger Beaman. Roger was a stalwart member of Sandwell cycle speedway club. He also served on the Midlands League committee doing stalwart work.
“You couldn’t wish to meet a nicer person.
“RIP old buddy.”
Roger died on Christmas Day and his funeral will take place on Tuesday 31st January at Powke Lane Crematorium at 10.30 am.
Shawn died on Tuesday as a result of a brain injury at the age of 55. He was runner-up in the 1981 British Under 15 Individual Final at Wednesfield and went on to be one of the best in the country at every age category. He received an England call-up in the 4th round of the 1985 Home Internationals at Thurrock where he scored 8 points

Condolences go out to the families and friends of both Shaun & Roger at this time
