With a sunny 26c day and close on 60 competitors the prestigious Findon club promoted their Annual Memorial Championship event at the Reserve Parade location last Sunday. The Division 1 (open) grade saw Cody Chadwick race unbeaten in the heats and then took the Grand Final to complete a perfect performance. Bobby McMillan gained silver with his best meeting this season whilst Angus Freeman and David Hartman occupied the remaining podium positions.
The Veteran category had eleven entries and Dan Pudney celebrated his 42nd birthday in style with a faultless five rides and in turn the major award. Brad Delmenico conceded a single point for a well deserved runner up placing with Andrew Blatchford and Robert Flemming in the minor roles.

The Womens division was monopolized by Caitlin Knights and Miriam Thompson who shared all the heat wins but in the final Knights took the chequered flag. If they can both realise their undoubted potential and venture to Europe later this year for the World Championships they could be trump cards for Australia.
Of the minor grades Josh Candy took the Division 2 and Max Lowick the Division 3 with Archer Powell successful in Division 4.
