Day 4 of the World Championships saw all the action staged in Norfolk with the World Cup Qualifying Rounds taking place at Norwich and the World Under 16 Open Individual Championship Semi-Finals and Final taking place at Hethersett.
The action at Norwich began with the Junior World Cup Qualiying round where England, Wales, Ireland and Australia would compete to see which 3 teams would join 2023 winners Poland in the final. It was England who were the comfortable winners with 73 points ahead of Australia on 50, Ireland on 41 and Wales were the team to miss out on qualification with 29 points. For Ireland this will be the 1st time since 1995 that they will be represented in a Junior World Cup Final

The Over 40’s World Cup Qualifying round followed with Scotland, Wales, Ireland and Australia competing to see which 2 teams would join the 2023 winners Poland and runners up England in the final. After taking the lead in heat 5 Ireland never looked back on their way to winning with 59 points ahead of Wales on 55, Australia on 46 and Scotland on 30

The Open World Cup Qualifying round was the final match at Norwich and this would see Ireland, Scotland, Wales and England compete to see which 2 teams would join the 2023 winners Poland and runners-uo Australia in the final. It would be England and Wales who qualified with 67 and 53 points respectively with Ireland finishing 3rd with 40 points and Scotland 4th with 37

Tomorrow it is World Cup Finals Day at Ipswich and the second World Individual Champion will also be crowned as the Under 16 Girls Championship will be decided. The day’s action gets underway at 10am with a Pre-Qualifying round for the Under 16 Girls with their final at 1pm. The 4 World Cups will be decided starting with the Over 40’s at 11.15am, the Juniors at 2.45pm, the Women’s at 4.30pm and the Open at 6pm
