NEWS: Silver membership for nationals begins in 2016

From 2016 a full, current and valid silver British Cycling Membership is required to compete in any British Cycling Cycle Speedway Individual British Championship (i.e. those currently run over August Bank Holiday and within the Indoor Championship Weekend).

Those riders who have a Bronze membership can upgrade this at any time until the close of entries for these Championships by contacting the British Cycling Membership department on 0161 274 2010.

The previously reported bump up to silver membership from bronze for the nationals brings CS in line with the minimum requirement for all other cycling disciplines under British Cycling, with CS previously being the only discipline to run their national championships with a bronze membership. CS riders are not required to hold a full racing licence, provisional racing licenses are still accepted.

Youth riders automatically receive a silver membership on joining British Cycling.

Team events, such as the British Team KO Cup, Club Championships, Elite League and regional fixtures are all still bronze level events.
