MATCH REPORT: Astley convincing in West Yorkshire

Astley & Tyldesley came away from West Yorkshire with two convincing Northern League wins on Sunday.

A&T took a maximum 7-3 heat win in the first race of the Division 1 match and controlled the match throughout, to run out convincing 89-59 winners. Reece Pollitt and Damian Zareba were both unbeaten by an opponent, with solid scores from the rest of the team.

Special mention goes to youngsters Max Evans and Matt Snell, who stepped up into the first team and performed really well, both lads winning races.

A&T took a a convincing win in the Division 3 match, 65-11, to remain unbeaten in the league. John White raced to a 16 points maximum score, with excellent support from Nathan Holt and Jack Littler.

John White put in a terrific performance in the U14 Individual event of the East Park 10th Anniversary meeting at Wolverhampton on Saturday. At nine years old, John was the youngest rider in the event, but he pulled off some superb passes on the biggest track in the country, to take overall 2nd place in the match.
