NEWS: Media boost makes Stoke Club Night a success
Stoke Cycle Speedway hosted their first club night of 2016 and has been hailed as a great success by Stoke’s Avon Allcock.
Stoke disbanded back in 2012 but since a public meeting was held by enthusiastic officials, new volunteers have come forward, revived the international standard Etruria Park and hosted their first meeting, Eurovets round one, last weekend.
Last night’s club night success was boosted by active promotion and BBC Radio Stoke attending and reporting live to encourage more to come down and give Cycle Speedway a try.
Allcock commented: “Tonight we have achieved a result. New club night started. Radio Stoke did a live on air interview tonight at our first club night. Thanks to Joe McLaughlin for his help.”
