CLUB NEWS: Coventry return to Midland League action on Sunday

Coventry return to Midland League action tomorrow (Sunday 8th May), when they make the short trip to friendly rivals Birmingham for senior, junior and second team fixtures.

The Hearsall Common outfit will again track a youthful combination in the main Midland League, division 1 match, and promote rising teenage stars Dan Drewett and Mason Phillips to heat leader positions.

They will be without world number four Bobby McMillan, who has returned to his Adelaide, South Australian home for a holiday and to renew his UK visa. He is expected back as soon as his paperwork is complete.

Coventry will heavily rely on Great Britain star Myke Grimes in the absence of McMillan but will look to Drewett and Phillips to continue their progress by scoring heavily in their heat leader roles.

The next home match at Hearsall Common is on Saturday 14th May when the Coventry club host round 3 of the British Junior and Youth League, with junior riders representing all the Midlands teams in action. The event starts at 12 noon.
