MATCH REPORT: Weakened A&T no match for Stockport

Astley & Tyldesley took on league champions, Stockport, in a Northern League fixture at Gin Pit on Sunday.

A depleted A&T fielded just 5 riders and were heavily beaten in the Division 1 match, 57-105. Paul Graham, Lee Phillips and Reece Pollitt all won races for A&T, but the team line-up of veterans and juniors were no match for the league champions.

Jake Read and Devon Campbell raced unbeaten for Stockport.

A&T enjoyed better fortunes in the Division 2 match, maintaining their 100% record in this division, with a convincing 115-74 win.

A&T took the win on the track 76-74, but Stockport conceded 39 penalty points, due to fielding two ineligible riders, to make the adjusted score 115-74.

Matt Snell, Jack Murray and Emily Burgess were all in top form for A&T, with Lucy Grantham also recording a race win. Louis Wright, Lance McCabe and Michael Preston all won races for the visitors.

A&T enjoyed an 80-0 whitewash win in the Division 3 match, as Stockport failed to field a rider. Emily Burgess raced unbeaten, with Jack Murray losing only to Emily.
