CLUB NEWS: Coventry to welcome BBC One to Hearsall Common

Coventry Cycle Speedway are set to welcome BBC Sport presenter, Mike Bushell, to Hearsall Common on Wednesday for a taste of Cycle Speedway.

The feature will appear this Saturday (29 April) on BBC One Breakfast, which will be a huge boost for Cycle Speedway in the UK.

Bushell’s team will be filming the Coventry junior session at their club night on Wednesday, with the enthusiastic presenter taking to the track for the senior session afterwards.

Coventry boss, Lee Marsh said: “We’re very excited to welcome Mike and his production team to Hearsall Common. The exposure it will give the sport nationwide is fantastic for everybody, not just Coventry.

“We spent a fair few hours making Hearsall Common look as good as possible on Monday evening and we had many keen volunteers helping us out. Hopefully Mike will enjoy his experience with no brakes, no gears and no fears!”

Bushell was initially scheduled to visit Hellingly for their anniversary year, but unfortunately the plans fell through.
