MATCH REPORT: Aces run away winners at Slater Street

Wednesfield went to Leicester yesterday in the Midlands League, and proved to strong for the Leicester squad.

In Division 1, the match went the same as last weekend, with Paul Heard and Carl Parfitt back in the squad, with Lee Kemp on Division 2 duties. The Aces only dropped points in heat 13, when Chris Jukes was just pipped on the line. Wednesfield ran out clear winners by 108-71.

In Division 2, Wednesfield were solid throughout, only dropping points in heat 12 as Leicester took a 6-4. The final score was Leicester 66, Wednesfield 84.

Midland League Division 3 kicked things off earlier in the day, which was a close fought affair with the lead swapping many times during the match. Finally it was settled all square with 40 points each.

Credit to Leicester, who fought hard and produced a great track for racing on in the lovely May sunshine.
