HSBC UK ELITE GP: Entries extended until Wednesday for round 4

Entries for the HSBC UK Elite GP have been extended to Wednesday – and it includes the option for junior riders to enter the senior event online, where previously they have been permitted to enter on the day only.

The elite men’s class has seen a good take up this year with 25 riders taking part across the rounds and filling a 16 rider final each time. The elite junior class has struggled with numbers at times but still fielded 23 riders across all rounds. It has certainly been a busy season for parents with the BYJL and introduction of the Supertrax Battle of Britain series, along with the HSBC UK Elite GP, which may have played a role in lower junior numbers for the new series.

Overall the HSBC UK Elite GP has been a success, but still with room to build on in the future.

There are spaces left in both classes for round 4 at Astley & Tyldesley, with just a few remaining in the elite men’s category. The event is open to all riders with a valid British Cycling membership of any nationality. Entries close on Wednesday evening at midnight (2 August).
