RESULTS: Battle continues between South East & East and Midlands after the penultimate round

The South East and East region raced to a comfortable victory over the South West and Wales side this afternoon at Gt. Blakenham in the elite men’s category.

Unfortunately for the visiting side they had a couple of late drop-outs towards the end of the week meaning they didn’t have a junior team to travel and race.

The Midlands elite men keep the pressure on with another win, which means they sit joint top of the table with the South East and East – the title could be decided on the 24th September, as we come to the last round of matches between the regions.

Midland junior team once again showed their strength with a convincing victory over the North and Scotland side, keeping them top of the table in the juniors.

The South West and Wales victory today in the Women’s League means they’re the overall winners and champions of this years league.

The North and Scotland/South East and East managed to pick up second place, despite not having Emily Burgess and Lauren Jacobs, the Midlands side came third after good efforts on track from Lucy Whitehead, Michelle Whitehead and Elizabeth Rigley.
