CLUB NEWS: Sutton scoops another award!

Poole chairman, Graham Sutton, has certainly been decorated in recent times. Following on from his prestigious Brian Cossavella award for services to event promotion at the British Cycling awards in February amid stiff high profile competition, Sutton has now been honoured at the Poole Sports Awards for outstanding services to Cycle Speedway.

The Bournemouth Echo writes: “Graham Sutton was awarded the prestigious Freddie Rowe Trophy for outstanding dedication and services to Cycle Speedway. As chairman and club manager, Graham has been highly instrumental in steering the club towards multiple British team championships and resulting global recognition as one of the sport’s most decorated and respected clubs within cycle speedway.

“Graham was also involved in founding the club’s home in Harbourside Park in the 1980s and ensuring it is now one of the best cycle speedway venues in the UK.”
