MATCH REPORT: Honours even between North & Scotland and Midlands

It finished honours even in the Supertrax Battle of Britain matches between the North & Scotland and the Midlands, at a hot and sunny Gin Pit on Sunday. The Midlands were the undefeated champions in last year’s elite junior series, but the North & Scotland raced to a convincing 114-83 win. All eight North & Scotland riders scored well and were all race winners, with captain Ed Morton losing only to Ewan Hancox in heat 17.

Ed Morton 19, Adam Turnbull 18+2, Louis Wright 17+1, Michael Preston 16+1, Max Evans 14, Adam Taylor 13+1, Ciaran Collins 9+1, Lewis Foxley 8.

Pawel Idziorek, Adam Watson, Kris Ramsden and Reece Pollitt all won a race each for the North & Scotland, but 16 race winners by the Midlands tells its story.
