MATCH REPORT: A&T round off home season in style

Astley & Tyldesley rounded off their home Northern League fixtures in fine style at Gin Pit on Sunday.

A&T raced to a convincing 108-72 win over Edinburgh, in the Division 1 match, to complete the season with a 100% record. Reece Pollitt raced unbeaten, with the rest of the A&T team all scoring well. Jake Slight won two races for Edinburgh, but their only other race winner was Jason Keith.

A&T maintained their Division 2 title defence, with an emphatic 89-60 win. No riders were unbeaten, but A&T scored solidly throughout, with special mention for excellent scores from the two u-13 riders, Charlie Burgess and John White, and the two u-10 riders, Fraser Brundrett and Duncan Whalley, in their two races each. Lewis Foxley won three races for Edinburgh, with former A&T man, Ewan Tulloch, winning two races.

Division 3 champions A&T extended their 100% record, with a 175-31 win over second placed Edinburgh. A&T’s Aiden Green raced to maximum points in the u-10 match, with Charlie Burgess top scoring in the u-13 match, losing only to Edinburgh’s James Foxley in heat 4.
