WEEKEND PREVIEW: HSBC UK Elite GP, Geoff Gamage 50th Anniversary and more regional racing

Another busy weekend of cycle speedway starts on Saturday with the 3rd round of the HSBC UK Elite Grand Prix at Great Blakenham where Lukasz Nowacki and Owen Wells will look to extend their leads in the Men’s and Junior categories. Also on Saturday Horspath stages a special meeting to celebrate Geoff Gamage’s 50 years of involvement with the club.

Sunday sees more regional matches taking place in all 4 regions. In the North & Scotland League Astley & Tyldesley welcome Stockport whilst Bury make the trip to Edinburgh in all 3 Divisions. Hull have a double header of Division 2 & 3 action, firstly against Fife and then against Glasgow.

Moving on to the South East & Eastern League Norwich welcome Gt Blakenham in Division 1 before hosting Ipswich in Divisions 1 & 2 as well as the Youth League. Gt Blakenham travel to Hethersett for Division 1 & 2 matches after their match at Norwich. 

There is just the 1 match in the South & South Wales and that sees Horspath hosting Newport

In the Midland League it is the latest round of the Gold Cup at Coventry and this will see Birmingham take on Wednesfield followed by East Park taking on Leicester
