WEEKEND PREVIEW: World Championships

The World Cycle Speedway Championships get underway later today with the opening action at Swietochlowice seeing a Junior test match between Poland & Great Britain at 4pm which is followed at 6pm by the Pawel Waloszek Memorial trophy in memory of the Polish Speedway rider who died in September 2018 and who was runner-up in the 1970 World Final at Wroclaw.
Saturday sees 2 more test matches at Swietochlowice between Poland & Great Britain with a Veterans match at 4pm and a Senior match at 6pm.
Sunday sees the first World Champions crowned as the World Pairs Championships take place at Swietochlowice. The first ever Veterans World Pairs opens the action at 3pm and is followed by the Junior event at 5pm with the Senior event rounding off the action starting at 7pm.
Meanwhile there is 1 match in the UK on Sunday as Kesgrave host Hellingly in South-East & Eastern League Division 2.
