With the temperature reaching over 30c at Findon on Sunday afternoon twelve of the home nations top Veterans contested Round 7 of the highly successful Veterans Grand Prix competition. Although he had an unfavourable draw Brad Hoppo raced unbeaten for a maximum scoreline that in turn will see him striving to gain further valuable points in the final round at Le Fevre next Friday evening.
Robbie Dutton took silver on 18 points and fully deserved his placing on the day. The bronze outcome was a three way tie between Paul White,Matt Gentle and Warren Corbett each on 17 points. However words of praise should without doubt be mentioned for the enthusiastic event organiser Simon Harley who amassed 15 points in a good all round performance. I am sure that the final round will see all the major contenders seeking maximum points that wiĺl enhance their overall scores for a final podium position. Although rarely in the top of the score charts full credit is due to those riders who compete on a regular basis to ensure the event has achieved the ultimate aim.
