NEWS: Updates from British Cycling

Tarn Fynn has been in touch with an update from British Cycling:

“A quick update from a British Cycling point of view, before I return to furlough for another four weeks tomorrow. A return to activity guidance document is due to be published this month, along with Covid-19 specific risk assessments, with the aim for some activity to resume on the 4th July. These documents will be designed to cover all British Cycling sanctioned activities, including coaching sessions, guided rides and competition in all disciplines. Please do check the British Cycling website for these updates and read them carefully, as I will not be able to forward them to you directly before I return to work.

“The return to activity will be staged, so coaching sessions under strict conditions will likely be permitted before competition. It is also important to note that British Cycling guidance will not overrule the restrictions put in place by the government and local authorities, so the activities that are able to go ahead may vary between areas of the UK. Whilst cycle sport may look very different for some time yet, we are confident competition it can start to return soon.

“I will be available on my mobile (07507 641267) until tomorrow, after which there will be colleagues from the events team available to answer your queries via email (events@britishcycling.org.uk).
