MATCH REPORT: Brooke retains Jim Peck memorial TROPHY

The 7th staging of the Jim Peck Memorial meeting saw Great Blakenham’s Josh Brooke retain the trophy which he won in 2017 and 2019. After 2 rides each Brooke and Lukasz Nowacki were unbeaten but both would drop their only points of the match in heat 11 which was won by Chris Timms in a race where there was never more than a bike length between the 3 riders. Nowacki finished as runner up and Timms 3rd in a meeting which saw 6 points separate the top 9 finishers in an event on a track that was made wet by heavy rain late in the morning which eased off before the start.

A minute’s applause was held just before the start of the match in memory of former Gt Blakenham rider Colin Cox and also Rod Witham, both of whom had passed away during the summer
