NEWS: Indoor Championships Info

The 2014 British Indoor Championship finals will be staged at the Sports Connexion, Leamington Road, Ryton On Dunsmore, near Coventry, on the weekend of Saturday 3rd January and Sunday 4th January 2015. All age group categories, team and individual, shall be contested.

The championships will once again be promoted by a special indoor sub-committee of the Midland League. Headed by Wednesfield`s Roger Ellis and Steve Mullinder, the sub-committee also includes Dave Jewkes (Wednesfield), Norman Venson (Leicester) and Joe McLaughlin of Coventry.

Ellis and Mullinder will manage the events, whilst Jewkes will publish the programmes. Venson will cover first aid arrangements, with McLaughlin handling sponsorship and promotion.

It is the second year in succession that the championships will be staged at the rural Warwickshire venue. The events were staged in early January this year after months of doubt, following the decision of the previous northern organisers not to continue.

British Cycling have once again kindly agreed to substantially under-write the costs of the indoor finals. Entries for the various championships are now open on the British Cycling website. Please go to: https://www.britishcycling.org.uk/events/details/107851/2014-British-Indoor-Championships#summary  to enter.

Steve Mullinder said: “The Midland League extends a warm invitation to the sport to enter the 2014 British Indoor Championships.
