MATCH REPORT: Salisbury Patrons Closed Championship

Salisbury Cycle Speedway recently underwent some upgrades, including the addition of 23 tonnes of Dolomites to the track, and the back straight was re-leveled and concreted. On Friday, March 14th, Salisbury Cycle Speedway held their annual Patrons Closed Championship. Despite the very warm conditions, they still managed to host another successful and entertaining night, as always. There were lots of interesting races, with riders having to adapt quickly to the significant changes in the new circuit. It was great to see strong numbers in both the Junior and Senior grades, with riders displaying impressive skills and fearless moves. The Division 4, Division 3, and Open Women’s grades definitely had some riders to keep an eye on for the upcoming State Titles in May.
Top podium place getters:
Under 13 Girls: Grace McCormick
Division 4: Rylan Hartman
Division 3: Jacob Ffrench

Open Women:

Once again, the women showed us what they are made of and how determined they are to race. This is definitely a grade to keep an eye on, with several of the women making their way to England in September.

Division 1:

2nd: Tyler Wood
3rd: Aiden McCormick
Once again, Matty Snowden showed who’s boss on the track, and two of their younger Division 1 riders demonstrated they have the skills to compete at the top level. Some of these riders will also be heading to England in September.
