AUSTRALIA: Findon 59th birthday a huge success

With over three hours of highly competitive racing on a sunny afternoon of 30°C, plus a free BBQ for all competitors and spectators, made the club’s 59th birthday a resounding success.

In the Veterans class, Andrew Blatchford continued his form from the previous week to take the major podium position from David Amey, Sam Rochester and Brad Delmenico.

Division 1 saw hot prospect Todd Clarke gain an impressive victory over Ryan McCarthy, with Harrison Delmenico and Braden Makepeace receiving the minor awards.

The U15 category featured many hopeful of contesting the World Junior events later this year with Braylan MacDonald capturing two important heat wins to head the final scoreline. Fellow club mates Matt Forester, Blade Blatchford and Cooper Osborne had little difficulty in filling the other three award positions.

Last, but by no means least, the Womens grade saw Kayleigh Clarke continue her return to form and take the top prize from Jackie Kinross, Holly Greenhalgh and Miriam Thompson.

As the day drew to a close, a very proud club founder, Mick Harley, took the opportunity to sink a couple of well earned beers!
