CLUB NEWS: Memorial meeting for Joe this Saturday
This Saturday, East Park host the Joe Guy Memorial Meeting, to honouring the passing of the 16-year old ex-Wolves rider, who was tragically killed on a training ride at the end of May.
It is planned to run an U10 and U16 event, depending on numbers.
Joe was an East Park rider in the early days of East Park in the mid-noughties. Al Bentley commented: “We all knew Joe was going to be a fantastic rider, even then. He stayed with the club before moving on to Wolverhampton Wheelers and excelling in road racing.
RIP Joe Guy
“He was surely destined for much bigger things until his tragic death doing what he loved.”
