NEWS: Sport booms in East Midlands
Last Sunday`s Coventry Devlins Newsagents against Leicester match at Hearsall Common displayed the boom the sport currently enjoys in the East Midlands.
The hastily arranged challenge match between the friendly near neighbour’s at senior level turned into three full matches, with the first team clash followed by two junior matches. Both clubs fielded an amazing 19 different riders each, an incredible 38 riders in total.
Leicester won the senior fixture 90-89 and followed this up by taking the second team affair by 71-57. Coventry restored some pride by racing to a narrow 66-64 success in the third match, which featured several debuts on both sides.
Both clubs were delighted with the full day of action and plan to team-up again on Elite League dates to give their rising memberships plenty of racing.
