NEWS: Fife Cycle Speedway on track for 2015
Plans for a new Cycle Speedway track at Queen Anne High School in Dunfermline have moved a step closer after a detailed planning application for the facility was lodged with Fife Council. Assuming planning permission is granted, it is anticipated that work on the track will begin early in the new year.
The site of the proposed track is a grassed area adjacent to the School’s main football pitch, where two members of the Edinburgh Falcons U13 team, Kieran Swanson and Louis Kennedy, regularly play for the Fife Elite Football Academy. Earlier this week, Scotland Team Manager Gavin Kennedy and the teacher leading the project, Craig Masson, held detailed discussions regarding the formation of a Fife Cycle Speedway Development Squad with trials and training sessions already pencilled in for next Spring.
