LETTERS: Increased membership could prove costly to British Championship events
Leicester’s Craig Marchant has written in with his concerns over the 2016 membership increase.
I don’t understand what’s going on. If I just decide to race in the British Vets in 2016 and nothing else it will cost me £98 apparently. Who in their right mind thinks this is a good idea? Do riders think it’s OK or is it just the club management? This will be the end of lots of championship events – why on earth are we going along with it? If the TLI clubs ran their own event, I know where I would go.
Thanks for your input, Craig.
What do you think on the matter of increased membership for 2016 as part of British Cycling’s KPI? We especially want to hear the opinions of more riders. Do you think the price is justified or would it stop you from entering British Championships in the future? Have your say! Email 3318news@gmail.com.
