International Cycle Speedway Federation Secretary Mike Hack has released the following statement in English & Polish:
The International Cycle Speedway Federation (ICSF) held it’s annual World Council meeting on Sunday 31st October (Europe & Americas time) and on Monday 1st November (Australasian time).
The main agenda item was to discuss the feasibility of staging the twice postponed World Championships, in South Australia, in November/ December 2022. The Australian delegates presented positive news, with the sharing of the South Australian government’s Covid Ready Plan, which was published last week. The ICSF General Secretary provided up to date
official figures for full vaccination rates amongst the cycle speedway nations. Following discussion, the ICSF World Council agreed that the situation is looking favourable for being able to finally stage the Championships in South Australia in twelve months time. The meeting agreed to monitor the progress of the Plan and full vaccination rates, before meeting again in early January, to make a final decision on the 2022 World Championships staging. The meeting is mindful of the notice needed for visitors to travel to the Championships, hence the need to make a final decision ten months before the Championships are scheduled to start, on Tuesday 15th November, running through to Sunday 4th December 2022.
With Australia re-opening her borders today, for the first time in 20 months, albeit only to Australian nationals at the moment, progress is being made to return to pre-Covid conditions in Australia.
Międzynarodowa Federacja Rowerowa Speedway (ICSF) zorganizowała swoje doroczne spotkanie Rady Światowej w niedzielę 31 października (czas europejski i amerykański) oraz w poniedziałek 1 listopada (czasu australijskiego).
Głównym punktem porządku obrad było omówienie możliwości zorganizowania dwukrotnie przełożonych Mistrzostw Świata w Australii Południowej w listopadzie/grudniu 2022 roku. tydzień. Sekretarz Generalny ICSF przedstawił aktualne oficjalne dane dotyczące pełnego wskaźnika szczepień wśród krajów żużlowych. Po dyskusji Rada Światowa ICSF
zgodziła się, że sytuacja wygląda korzystnie, jeśli chodzi o możliwość organizacji mistrzostw w Australii Południowej za dwanaście miesięcy. Na spotkaniu uzgodniono monitorowanie postępów w realizacji Planu i pełnych szczepień przed ponownym spotkaniem na początku stycznia, aby podjąć ostateczną decyzję o organizacji Mistrzostw Świata w 2022 roku.
Spotkanie ma na celu zawiadomienie o konieczności przyjazdu gości na Mistrzostwa, stąd konieczność podjęcia ostatecznej decyzji na dziesięć miesięcy przed planowanym rozpoczęciem Mistrzostw, czyli we wtorek 15 listopada, do niedzieli 4 grudnia 2022 roku.
Wraz z ponownym otwarciem granic Australii, po raz pierwszy od 20 miesięcy, choć obecnie tylko dla obywateli Australii, poczyniono postępy w powrocie do warunków sprzed Covid w Australii.
