OBITUARY: Eric Hunt

33/18 News has learnt the sad news that Eric Hunt passed away yesterday, Sunday 29th January. Bob Prince posted the following on Facebook’s “I was (or still am) a Cycle Speedway rider”

“It is with great sadness to announce the death of Eric Hunt earlier today. Eric and my sister Hazel were sponsors of Kingstanding Monarchs (Birmingham) in the early 1980’s.

“The club back then had a thriving membership and both Hazel and Eric were a key part of its success.

“Eric was a driving force behind the club and was always on hand in times of need.

“One of God’s gentleman.

“Funeral arrangements to be announced soon.”
