CLUB NEWS: Hull to stage 24 hour sponsored ride

The Hull Cycle Speedway Club are teaming up with Dove House Hospice to raise funds by staging a 24-hour sponsored ride at the clubs Hessle Raceway circuit.



Dove House is Hull’s local hospice which began in the community, and is still deeply rooted in the community, that is Hull and the East Riding of Yorkshire.



The event will take place from Saturday May 27th at 6pm to Sunday May 28th at 6pm. Club members will lap the 70-meter banked shale track in a continuous relay for a full day racing through the night. The club are raising funds to enable them to continue to provide a good value family-oriented sports club for everyone. Top of their priorities is a new shale track surface which is soon to be replaced.



The riders will have their spirits raised towards the end of the marathon ride by a ‘Family Fun Day’ that takes place on the site from 1pm on the Sunday. Bouncy Castles, outdoor games, ‘Come & Try It’ cycle speedway and a balance bike track are all available with free entry plus a barbeque, refreshments, tombola, raffle and craft stands.
