LITTLE LEAGUE CHAMPIONSHIPS: Entries now open

Ross Mee has sent in the following information regarding the 2023 Little League Championships:

“I am pleased to announce that entries for the 2023 Individual and Team Championships are now open.

“After the success of the first combined day held at Leicester last year the day is to be held on the same basis, this time on Saturday 15 July 10.00 start at the Kesgrave track.

“Once again we are very grateful for the support of Myke Grimes and his 3318 Designs business for providing jerseys for the individual champions.

“As last year there will be Individual events for U8 Boys, U10 Boys and U10 Girls. Dependent on the number of girls entering it may be possible to run separate U8 and U10 Girls events but, if not, the highest placed U8 girl will receive the champion’s jersey.

“A reminder that riders born in 2015 or later are eligible for the U8s and those born in 2013 and 2014 are eligible for the U10s.

“There will also be an U10 Team event – U8s are welcome to ride in this. This is for teams of 4 riders (with an optional 2 reserves).

“The programme for the day and the formats to be used will be decided and announced after the entry deadline when numbers are known.

“The entry fees are £5 for the Individual event (plus £1.50 day licence fee for anyone without a BC licence) and £25 for the Club event. Whilst I am happy to answer any questions regarding the event all entries should be made direct with Kesgrave. There is no on-line entry available with British Cycling.

“For the Individual events please complete the Google form and pay as instructed

“For the Team event please e-mail your entry to kesgravepanthers.csc@gmail.com and pay the entry fee to the bank account per the Google form

“The deadline for entries is midnight Sunday 2 July. After that late entries will only be accepted if there are spaces remaining within the selected formulas. Should riders be unable to attend after entering please advise Kesgrave of this as soon as possible.

“I think that everyone who attended last year’s event would agree that all the riders had a most enjoyable time having their own specific day and their enthusiasm despite a long day was great to see. Please circulate this e-mail to all your members who might be interested and encourage them to take part. These riders are the future of the sport and I am sure that Kesgrave will provide them with a day to remember.”
