BYJL: Information regarding National Rounds

Ross mee has been in touch with the following information about the British Youth & Junior League national Rounds, the first of which is this coming Saturday July 1st:

“Just to remind everyone that the National rounds of the Little League and BYJL get underway this Saturday.

“The competition is running on exactly the same basis as last year and the entrance fee remains unchanged at £4 (plus day licence of £1.50 for anyone without a BC licence).

“Riders can take part even if they haven’t ridden in any of this year’s regional rounds.

“In the Team competition Kesgrave will be defending their title against A&T, Birmingham, Coventry, Hethersett, Hull, Newport and Poole.

“Whilst hopefully plenty of riders will want to ride in all four rounds, I know that this is not for everyone but I would encourage all riders to at least come along and compete in their own region’s round. Whilst we reward the winners the whole idea of these days is to encourage participation (no one leaves without at least a medal!) – this is a great opportunity for riders to compete with and mix with others of the same age from clubs around the country.

“The action starts this Saturday with a trip to the Peak District and Sheffield’s Graves track (NOT Cookson Park). This will be a new track to ride for anyone from outside the North.

“For Round 2 on July 29 it is off to the Norfolk countryside to ride at Hethersett whose junior scene has been much revitalised in the last couple of years.

“Then on August 12 Round 3 is at Leicester whose central location always attracts a good turnout

“Finally on September 16 the series ends with Round 4 at the scenic Harbourside track of Poole.

“All rounds start at 10.00 am with the Under 8’s.

“Hopefully I will see lots of you at the rounds

“Finally a reminder that the entries for the Little League Championships at Kesgrave on July 15 close at midnight this Sunday.”
