RESULTS: Womens League Round One
Wednesfield hosted the first round of Women’s League action on Sunday. The East came out on top in their fixtures against the North, winning 64-56, Charlie Jane Herbert and Lily Gedge top scoring for the victors.
The Midlands saw off the South West challenge with a 63-56 scoreline. Michelle Whitehead led the way for the Midlands dropping just a single point to South’s Lauren Hookway.
In the individual event, Sheffield’s World Champion Vicky Brown took the 25 points by winning the A-final, with Leicester duo of Lucy Whitehead second, Michelle Whitehead third and Exeter’s Lauren Hookway fourth.
In the intermediate category, Ipswich’s Gemma Hill took home the spoils ahead of Poole’s Maddie Saunders, Sheffield’s Niamh Morton and Leicester’s Jenna Whitehead.
