RESULTS: British Under 14, Womens & Open Indoor Individual Championships

Exeter’s Rosie Tidball followed up her success in the Outdoor British Under 14 Girls Individual Championship by clinching the British Indoor Under 14 title, dropping only 1 point to Leicester’s Kyle Wells in her 3rd ride. Wednesfield’s Ellis Richmond clinched the runner-up spot on 18 points with Exeter’s JJ Wildman taking 3rd. Wells finished in a tie for 4th with 16 points having won all his remaining races after an exclusion in heat 1

Tidball then followed her success in the Under 14’s event by winning the British Womens Indoor Individual Championship, again dropping only 1 point, this time to World Under 16 Girls Champion Emily Burgess when the pair met in heat 9. Outgoing Champion Lauren Hookway finished 2nd, with 18 points, dropping her only points to Tidball & Burgess in heat 9. Ipswich’s Gemma Hill completed the top 3 with 17 points. After an exclusion in her 4th ride Burgess finished in a 3 way tie for 4th with the Leicester duo of Sophie Sinclair-Black & Elizabeth Rigley

The Open Individual Final concluded the action and it saw Great Blakenham’s Adam Peck claim his maiden British Championship after 25 years of racing. Peck scored 18 points with Chris Timms taking 2nd with 17 points. A 4 way run-off was needed to decide 3rd place and this was won by Matt Hill ahead of his brother Ashley Hill, Brandon Whetton & World Champion Ben Mould
