MATCH REPORT: Lush unbeaten as Stockport show no mercy

Northumbria 67 – 110 Stockport, Northern League One, Sunday 25th May 2014

League champs and current top of the league Stockport had far too much fire power for the Vikings, Jack Lush riding to a 20 point max, Jake Read dropping just a single, while Ben Higham and Matt Lush would have scored more but for tape exclusions.

Despite the one sided scoreline, the racing was superb, every race having incident and passing. Scott Latimer almost got Northumbria to a shock lead, but crashed heavily late in the race when leading Jake Read in heat 1, Gavin Parr top scoring for the home side despite losing several points due to mishaps as he either overslid or missed his pedals at the crucial moment when racing the top visitors.
