TRANSFER NEWS: World finalist Kowalczyk heads for Birmingham
Birmingham Monarchs’, Chris Timms has recently been in talks with Ostrow’s Szymon Kowalczyk to bring him to the second City. The Polish rider recently captured everyone’s attention with his impressive performance in the World Individual Final in August 2015.
Kowalczyk finished on a solid 12 points, beating some of the Worlds best throughout the tour. Chris first met Simon in 2008 during the Junior European Championship, where they first competed against each other.

Ever Since, Chris and Szymon have shared a good friendship and in recent talks the two riders feel it will be very beneficial for Szymon to race in the UK.
Szymon has agreed to sign for Birmingham, whilst working around his Polish fixtures. Timms commented, “Birmingham would like to welcome Szymon to the club and look forward to the season ahead with him in the team.”
