MATCH REPORT: Bury victorious at Goshen

Bury Comets Cycle Speedway team took full advantage of a full strength Division Two squad for the first time this season, with a convincing victory over a weakened Glasgow side at Goshen.

The Comets saw Adam Taylor return from his early season injury to bolster an already unbeaten side.

The match began with a Bury 7-3 from Steve Mann and Alan Plimley which set the tone as Bury outgated a battling Glasgow team over 15 heats.

For the visitors, Andy McDougall was always in the thick of the action but taking on a strong Bury pairing in each of his races proved a difficult challenge.

Colin Gray also provided some strong resistance with Lachlan McDougall and Cycle Speedway legend, Chic Mackie, providing good backup.

In the end Bury rode unbeaten throughout to record a score that belies the spirit of friendly competition that was evident in what was an entertaining match.
