CLUB NEWS: Dolphin Shopping Centre announces sponsorship of Poole Cycle Speedway

To continue its support for local community ventures, the Dolphin Shopping Centre in Poole has chosen to sponsor the Poole Cycle Speedway team for the next three seasons.
Cycle Speedway is the cycle racing equivalent of the motorised speedway sport and the Poole Cycle Speedway team came to fruition in 1974. The Dolphin Shopping Centre’s sponsorship will be used for a new set of racing kit to be used by both the junior and senior teams.
Lisa King, retail liaison manager at the Dolphin Shopping Centre, commented: “We have chosen to sponsor the Poole Cycle Speedway team as they have done so well over the past few years, winning many titles and awards, and we want to show our support.
“We sponsored the World Cup event held in Poole in 2015 and following on from the success of this, we want to help them continue to grow and celebrate their future successes.”
Graham Sutton, club chairman at Poole Cycle Speedway, commented: “We are so grateful to our friends at the Dolphin Shopping Centre for their kind sponsorship. Support from such a high profile sponsor is warmly welcomed at a time when Poole Cycle Speedway is enjoying its most successful run of results on the track.
“Last year saw our riders achieve a unique clean sweep of major British titles, including Youth and Junior League Champions, Club Champions and League Play-Off Champions, and we look forward to working with the Dolphin to promote the town and the sport towards further achievements in 2019.”
