ELITE LEAGUE: League table – week 2

Ipswich sit proudly on top of the Elite League table in week two, separated only by a 10 point points difference from other double winners Horspath. Wednesfield will be disappointed to be sitting in third, but will be looking to bounce back at home to Newport in a few weeks. The Welsh side, meanwhile, will be delighted with their first win over Sheffield, who along with Poole are yet to score any points so far. However, with all teams having the potential to take points off each other this season, it’s far from over for any of the teams. Who will be on top come October? It’s difficult to predict at this stage.

Wednesfield are a point ahead of Ipswich in the Combination League. Newport emulated their first team but picking up a victory against Sheffield last Sunday, where as Horspath and Poole are yet to score after two defeats.

Table Week 2

The next fixtures take place on Sunday 1st June 2014 and they feature:

Horspath v Poole
Ipswich v Sheffield
Wednesfield v Newport

Both league leaders have the home advantage and will be looking to extend their lead further to three wins a piece, as Wednesfield look to get back to winning ways against a Newport side not lacking in team spirit.
