RIDER NEWS: Former CS riders in GB UCI squad

Two former cycle speedway riders are really making a name for themselves on the Veldrome circuit. James Bunting (Sheffield Stars) and Will Tidball (Exeter Aces) have been named in the GB team to race in the UCI Junior Track Cycling world championships in Aigle, Switzerland from 15-19 August. James will compete in the Sprints with Will racing in the Endurance events.

Both won many National titles when racing cycle speedway. Hopefully more titles and medals will come their way.

It is great recognition for the sport and proves that Cycle Speedway could be a hotbed that produces more riders who can move on to be successful in other cycling disciplines. CS offers up skills that are transferable to all disciplines from exceptional bike handling, raw power and it’s safe to say there’s no other discipline that does contact that same way.
