BRITISH WEEKEND: Angell reclaims title in eventful British Final

Andy Angell has won a third British title at Bury, with a potential record score of 15 points.

Only 6 points separated the entire field in what was an entertaining and explosive final. Angell got off to a strong start, winning his first race, but a last and a third in his next two races looked to have ended his chances of another title. However, two further wins gave him 15 points, which was remarkably enough to win.

Five riders finished on 14 points, Mark Boaler, Lee Aris, Adam Stephenson, Chris Timms and Paul Heard. After a series of run offs, Timms took second ahead of Lee Aris in third.
