MATCH REPORT: Aces up to second with emphatic win

Newport Cycle Speedway Club entertained Wednesfield Aces at Newports Sports Village in an Elite League fixture, resulting in a comfortable 102 to 72 points win for the Midlanders, to push them nearer their goal as league runners up.
Newport put out a team of all local riders, which although were going to be up against it, did perform well. Youngsters Adam Bennett and Dan Bock impressed, but the Aces were solid throughout the team, recording 15 race wins with Paul Heard top scoring on 19 beaten only by Mark Carmichael.
