CLUB NEWS: Newport stage Presentation Evening

Newport Cycle Speedway Club celebrated their 2019 season at the end of season presentation evening last Friday evening (6th December).

The sold-out event with music, buffet and the awards was enjoyed by all in attendance, with a number of trophies and recognitions throughout the evening.

Winners on the night were as follows,

2019 4 Seasons League – Girls – Kacey James
2019 4 Seasons League – U 12’s – Lloyd Thomas-Gough
2019 4 Seasons League – U 16’s – Sam Marsh
2019 4 Seasons League – Seniors – John Brosnan
Best Newcomer – Lexi Dwyer
Most Improved – Kasey James

Club Rider of the Year – Callum Goward
Riders Rider of the Year – Stuart Marsh
Coaches Rider of the Year – Ben Truscott

Tyler Davies was also recognised for his success in this years BYJL, winning the regional under 8’s category. as were Lyndsey Truscott, Leigh Harris, Andrew Dwyer and Becky Davies for their invaluable support and help on match and event days this season.

Finally, there were Lifetime Membership Achievement Awards presented to Chris Davies and Mark Carmichael who have both spent many years riding for the club and can look to many more with their Life Memberships to the club.
