CLUB NEWS: Hull raise £750 in charity ride

The Hull Cycle Speedway Club staged a 24 hour sponsored ride over the May Bank Holiday Weekend. The ride was jointly in aid of Dove House Hospice and the Hull CSC. Starting at 6pm on the Saturday evening the younger riders began the marathon with senior riders taking over through the night before the whole club completed the event at 6pm on the Sunday. An amazing total of £750 was raised for each of the causes with the cheque being presented to Dove House at last Tuesday’s training night.

A Family Fun day was also held on the Sunday afternoon with a barbeque, bouncy castles, tombola’s, craft stalls and chances to try cycle speedway keeping everyone entertained while the riders completed their long trek.
