WEEKEND PREVIEW: Suffolk Individuals, Eurovets and more regional racing

A busy weekend of cycle speedway kicks off on Saturday with the Suffolk Individual Championships which take place at Kesgrave. The action is scheduled to start at 11am with the Under 8 and Under 16 Boys categories followed at midday by the Under 10 & Under 13 Girls, plus the Under 19’s and Over 40’s. 1pm sees the Under 10 Boys, Under 16 Girls and Women’s categories take to the track with the action rounded off at 2pm by the Under 13 Boys and the Seniors. Also on Saturday it is the 5th round of the EuroVets at Newport and the Welsh Open Women’s Championship, the latter will run as a stand alone event with the top 3 on the podium. It will also be part of the women’s Eurovet series with the top 8 qualifying for the A and B finals, which will supply the series points for the series. This is expected to start at midday with the Men’s EuroVets action starting about 1.45pm

There is regional racing in all 4 regions on Sunday and we start our preview in the South-East region where both Norfolk clubs are in Division 2 action with Hethersett taking on Great Blakenham and Norwich hosting Ipswich. Hethersett and Great Blakenham will also be in action in the Youth League
The South & South Wales region also has 2 matches in Division 1 and the Development League. Newport make the trip to Horspath while Poole welcome Exeter to Baiter Park.
The Midland region also has 2 matches as Birmingham take on Wednesfield in the Midland Club League whilst Coventry and Leicester meet at Hearsall Common in the main Midland League.

The North & Scotland League sees action at both Sheffield and Heckmondwike. Bury make the trip to Firth Park for matches in Division 2 & Division 3 whilst there is a Yorkshire derby at the Graves Tennis Centre where Hull are the visitors in Divisions 1,2 and 3
